on vacation!

hmmmm.....the twittering of little birds, the rustle of the breeze in the palm trees, alpine meadows, sunny seashore...who could ask for anything more? Certainly not me. I was so ready to be out of Paris for a little r&r. Actually, it was so perfect, it got ruined, of course as all perfect things do the moment they become perfect...tourists!!!!! clogging the streets, the parking lots, the beach, the pool, the whole town of Collioure was taken over. I was dissappointed that I had run in to the busy season so early. I found out though that it isn't usually as warm, or as crowded in late May. When the sky clouded over and the work week returned, the tourists left, and I had my peace and quiet left, if only for a day. Here are a couple of photos of the quiet before the crowds.
